Installation Guide Car Mats

Installation

Unpacking and Preparing:

Remove the floor mats from the packaging and check that all ordered items in the set are present. Please note that, for logistical reasons, each set may be shipped in a separate package.

Our floor mats are carefully packaged to minimise creasing during shipping. However, depending on handling and transportation, some minor creases may occasionally appear.

If you notice any creases, there are several ways to help the mats flatten naturally:

  • Lay them flat: Leave the mats on a flat surface for 1–3 days.

  • Place them in sunlight: Leave the mats outdoors in sunlight or in a warm room for approximately 24 hours (recommended temperature: at least 25°C).

  • Install and use them normally: You can also install the mats directly in your vehicle. With regular use, the mats will gradually settle into place, and any minor creases should become less noticeable over time.

Note: Minor creases, if present, are generally cosmetic and do not affect the mats' intended functionality. They should gradually smooth out with time and regular use, although complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

1) FOR THE FRONT FLOOR MATS:

  • Remove the old floor mats from the vehicle and clean the footwell if necessary.
  • Place the floor mats and secure them with the included fasteners.
  • Ensure that on the driver's side, all pedals are fully operable, the mats stay firmly in place, and all vehicle components, such as the steering wheel, can be used without obstruction.

Note:
Our floor mats do not have built-in anchor points. If your original floor mats include such anchors, leave those in the vehicle and install the Whip mats on top.

2) FOR THE REAR FLOOR MATS:

  • Remove the old floor mats from the vehicle and clean the footwell if necessary.
  • Secure the floor mats properly using the included fasteners.
  • Slide any excess mat material under the rear seats to ensure optimal protection for the rear sidewalls.

Additional Information Regarding Doorsill:

Please note that our mats do not cover the doorsill area. The reason for this is that it is more complex for our CNC machines to sew mats that fit the doorsill perfectly, and it would also increase production costs significantly. If you are looking for protection in this region, additional products may be required. Our floor mats are specifically designed for the footwell area, ensuring the best fit and durability for that part of the vehicle.

General Notes:

To ensure the longevity of your floor mats:

  • Always keep your feet on the designed pedal area while operating the pedals. Prolonged use outside this area may cause visible wear on the driver's side mats.
  • Avoid stepping on the mats with sharp heels, heavy footwear, hard soles, or deep treads, as these can severely damage the material.

Read the installation instructions below carefully before starting the installation:

  1. Remove old floor mats.
  2. Adjust the driver’s seat: Move it all the way back and up.
  3. Choose and attach the correct mat:
    • Place the mat on the driver’s side and use the built-in clips and Velcro to secure it.
    • Repeat for the passenger side.
  4. Check the attachment: Ensure that the mat does not move and that the clips are properly installed.
  5. Test the pedals: Verify that all pedals move freely before starting the vehicle.
  6. Install rear seat mats:
    • Slide the front seats forward, place the mats, and secure them with clips.
    • Repeat these steps for the passenger side.

Follow these steps carefully to ensure proper and safe installation.

For Mats With a Logo:

If your mats include a logo, gently peel away the non-woven fabric covering it to reveal the logo underneath. This is normal and will not damage your mats when removed carefully.

See the video below for guidance.
